Our Story

How It All Began

"

It started with a chance encounter at a friend's garden party in the summer of 2021. Between shared laughter over burnt marshmallows and a sunset that seemed to last forever, something beautiful began to bloom.

Summer 2021

The Garden Party

A mutual friend's backyard BBQ. James burned the burgers, Sarah saved the day with her famous potato salad.

Fall 2022

First Trip Together

A road trip through Napa Valley. We discovered our shared love for good wine and terrible puns.

Spring 2024

Moving In Together

Adopted a golden retriever named Basil. Our little family was finally complete.

December 2025

The Proposal

Under the fairy lights in our backyard, surrounded by candles and rose petals. She said yes before he finished the question.

Wedding Details

Dress Code

Garden formal attire. Earth tones and pastels encouraged. Ladies, the ceremony is on grass — block heels recommended.

Accommodations

Room block at The Napa Valley Lodge. Use code SARAHJAMES26 for 15% off. Book by May 1st.

Transportation

Complimentary shuttle runs between the Lodge and Estate every 20 minutes from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Food & Drink

Farm-to-table dinner with wine pairings. Open bar all night. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free available.

Unplugged Ceremony

We have a photographer! Please put phones and cameras away during the ceremony. Be present with us.

What is the dress code?
Garden formal. Think flowy dresses, linen suits, and earth tones. The ceremony is on grass, so block heels or wedges are recommended over stilettos.
Are children welcome?
We adore your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a wonderful night off!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please respond by May 15, 2026. This helps us finalize catering, seating, and all the little details to make the evening perfect.
Is there parking available?
Yes! Free parking is available on-site at The Garden Estate. We also provide a complimentary shuttle service from the Napa Valley Lodge throughout the evening.
Can I bring a plus one?
Plus ones are welcome for married, engaged, and long-term partners. Your invitation will specify the number of seats reserved in your honor.
What if it rains?
The ceremony has a beautiful covered backup location on-site. The reception pavilion is fully enclosed. Rain or shine, we're celebrating!
